Beard dish
The beard dish is incomplete, with a shard missing from the rim. The dish has a few long cracks, and one break has been repaired with glue. It is circular in shape, with a rim that is pinched in places; there is an oval indentation on the lower part of the wing, whose inner rim is covered with a brown iron coating. The rim is bulging on the face, the wing is wide and sloping inwards, the wall is high and slightly concave, while the bottom is flat. It rests on a ring-shaped foot, the base of which is unglazed. There is the trace of a pernette in the center of the base. Opposite the indentation, the wing is pierced by two aligned circular fixing holes, the inside wall of which is covered with glaze. The overglaze decoration and glaze on the inner base have almost completely disappeared, and the base appears to be stained with soot; the decoration is hand-painted in polychrome blue underglaze and red, green, black and gold overglaze on the front and reverse of the object. The decoration is plant-like, in Japanese Imari-style five-color polychromy. The inner surface of the object is entirely decorated. The wing is entirely covered with leafy stems painted in blue, green and black, and flowers in pale and dark red, with gold highlights. The main decoration is encircled by a double ring at the top of the wall, and consists of a large pot with a flared neck and a flat top, possibly made of bronze; it rests on a sock support with three visible feet, and the whole is painted blue. The pot rests on a flat terrace outlined in blue and trimmed with parallel sloping bands adorned with alternating green-painted latticework and red swastikas, as well as red wavy lines. The terrace is enclosed by two aligned sections of blue-painted fencing, with X-shaped compartments painted in red and gold, and framing the pot. From this pot emerge long flowering stems painted in blue; they are topped with leafy, flowering stems painted in red and green, which are almost completely obliterated. On the reverse, the wing and wall are entirely trimmed with long foliage painted blue with red flowers and gold highlights. The base of the wall is adorned with a ring fillet, while a double fillet adorns the center of the base; all are painted blue. The outer edge of the ring foot is adorned with a blue-painted ribbon and red-painted scrolls. There is a trace of an iron fillet painted pale brown around the rim of the wing.
