Beard dish
The beard dish is whole. It is circular in shape, with a plain rim. The rim is wide and sloping inwards, the wall is high and slightly concave, while the bottom is flat; it rests on a ring-shaped foot free of glaze; it is pierced in one place with a fixing hole. The decoration is hand-painted in blue on the inner surface of the dish, i.e. on the wing, wall and base. It features a geometric motif with an animal scene. The wing is decorated with a wide blue braid featuring a garland in reserve. The wall is adorned with a braid of vertical lines. The background features a scene in a ring, with a bird seen in profile and surmounted by what appears to be a long rectangular basket or vase decorated with flowers and leafy stems.
