The license to use an image is displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the image, on every object sheet published online.

The images are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International license. This license does not allow image modification and no commercial use is permitted. Images are available for download in JPG format, in high resolution. Credit must be given when distributing. For more details about this license : https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/
Copyright undetermined
Images are available in low resolution and watermarked for viewing. Images cannot be downloaded. They may be shared in high resolution following receipt of a request and with authorization of the owner of the copyright. Charges may apply. If the owner of the work cannot be located, the applicant should contact the Copyright Board of Canada : https://cb-cda.gc.ca/en/unlocatable-owners/general-information
Protected by copyright
The museum does not hold the reproduction rights for this image. A request must be submitted to the owner of the copyright by the applicant to obtain authorization to distribute the image. Fees may apply.
Credit notice
A credit note is mandatory when distributing an image. It is displayed at the bottom of each object file.
