Winch rack

The oil set is complete. It comprises two straight-topped cylindrical containers bound together with paste, and is fitted with a solid vertical handle with a half-oval cross-section. The underside of the containers is flat and unglazed. The body is pinkish-beige in color and covered with a bluish-white glaze. The oil set holder is slightly wobbly; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze; it is traced in very dark blue and painted in blue. It is of the compartmented braid type. The molded decoration is visible on the upper rim of the containers, which features a bulging ring. Painted decoration is visible on the outer wall and on the handle. The swollen ring is covered with a blue-painted fillet. The upper part of the outer wall is decorated with a compartmentalized fillet, composed of three alternately repeated elements. One consists of three rows of beaded ovals, imitating fish scales. The other motif is in reserve on a blue-painted background: it consists of a half-flower between two volutes bordered by two half-leaves; these flowers and leaves are adorned with radiating lines. These two motifs are separated by a half-flower, set in two vertical bands painted blue, while the sides are in reserve. The foot is decorated with a ribbon with a blue background and a wavy top; it is adorned with two different motifs in reserve, repeated in alternation. One is an oval with a central line, the other a trifoliate motif. The face of the handle is adorned with superimposed scrolls, while the sides are decorated with an uneven fillet.
