Historical context

At the end of the 1940s, the Café du Parlement on Quebec City’s Grande Allée was equipped with its own assortment of tableware. On the initiative of Maurice Duplessis’ government, students in the artistic advertising course at the École des beaux-arts de Québec are invited to submit proposals.
