Teacup?

The cup is complete. It is circular in cross-section, with a straight wall and slightly flared rim. The beveled base leads to an annular foot. The bottom is recessed and flat. The handle is vertical and triangular in shape, with a slightly concave top. In cross-section, the handle is oval. Its upper end flares out at its junction with the wall, while the lower end elongates towards the sock and is oval in shape. A vertical mold line is visible on the face of the handle. The numbers 4027 are painted in orange-red under the background; the decoration is painted on the glaze, with gold highlights on the glaze, and applied by polychrome decalcomania on the glaze. It is visible on the outer rim and wall, on the handle and on the inner wall. The decoration below the outer rim is a horizontal band painted in blue and surrounded by gold; it is interrupted at regular intervals by a flower in orange-red. The ribbon is surmounted by a row of small pearls painted red. Beneath the ribbon is a row of overlapping semi-circles, open at the top and with a central point in red. From this row hang two types of overlapping garlands: one is made of red pearls whose size increases towards the center, while the other is made of red leafy stems covered with green highlights. A second garland of red dots hangs from the first. One of each of these two garlands is found under the inner rim, in an area perpendicular to the handle. There is a fillet of gilding on the face and top of the handle, as well as on the rim.
