Stock pot

The container is complete. It is circular in shape. In cross-section, the wall is swollen, the shoulder is rounded and the neck is straight; it is topped by a swollen lip with a bulging top. The rim has a wide spout. The wall curves towards the swollen base; the pot rests on a flat bottom. It has a hollow side handle attached to the wall, which is swollen and has a concave annular end. The body is orange-red, well-fired; the entire surface, except for the lower outer half, the underside and the inside of the handle, is covered with a white slip covered with a green-colored glaze. There is an intaglio mark below the bottom, in an oval cartouche; it is partly illegible: POTERIE PROVENCALE (JOSEPH ELIE) SALERNES, VAR ; None, except for the white slip covered with green-colored glaze that covers the upper half of the outer wall and the handle, as well as the entire inner surface.
