Stock pot

The pot is complete. It is circular in shape. In profile, the wall is domed, the shoulder is rounded and the neck is slightly constricted; the rim is flared and the top is domed. The base is flared and the pot rests on a slightly sunken base, the rim of which is set back from the base. The pot is fitted with a small vertical handle, oval in cross-section and slightly domed on the face; its ends are joined to the shoulder and the wall at mid-height. The lower end is flattened. The body is beige and well-cooked. The outer surface of the pot is an uneven rust-brown, as is the handle; only the underside of the bottom is beige. Only the inner surface is covered with white slip and a colorless glaze. There are glaze runs on the outer wall. The inner wall and base are missing glaze, as are the engobe and glaze at the top of the rim. The outer wall opposite the handle appears to be stained with soot ; None other than the white slip and colorless glaze covering the inner surface of the pot.
