Saucer
The saucer is complete. It is circular in shape. The wall is flared at the top, and the rim is straight. The wall curves at the base towards the sock, which is flat. It rests on a wide annular foot. The underside of the base is recessed and flat. The foot is beveled and free of glaze in places ; The decoration is hand-painted on glaze in polychrome pink, green, mauve, orange, brown and black, in the Famille rose style, with touches of gilding. The painted decoration is geometric and floral. It is visible under the rim, on the wall and on the inner background. Under the rim, the decoration is outlined in orange and painted pink; it consists of two superimposed elements. There’s a wide braid with a straight top and wavy sock, trimmed with a beaded latticework traced in red. Beneath the braid is an orange wavy fillet, bordering a row of groups of oblique lines of varying lengths. The decoration on the wall consists of a series of four plant and floral elements arranged in a cross. They consist of wavy stems outlined in brown, trimmed with leaves outlined in black and painted green, and a few flowers, painted pink and orange; the pink flowers are all different. The background decoration consists of a group of leafy, flowering stems, similar to those on the wall, to which are added leaves painted brown with gold highlights and flowers traced in orange and painted gold. The top of the saucer shows traces of an iron-brown coating.
