Saucer
The saucer is complete; breaks have been repaired with glue and repainted, and the outer surface appears to have been completely repainted. It is circular in shape. The wall is flared at the top, and the rim is tapered. The wall curves at the base towards the sock, which is flat. It rests on a rounded foot ring. The underside of the base is recessed and flat. The foot is beveled and free of glaze; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in polychrome enamels of pink, orange, green, violet and black, with gold highlights. The molded decoration is visible on the top of the rim and on the wall: the top is corrugated and trimmed with small spikes, which extend into a domed rib on the outer wall. The painted decoration is floral, in the Famille rose style. The decoration is painted under the inner rim and base, and on the outer wall. Under the inner rim, it consists of a narrow braid outlined in black and trimmed with a row of overlapping scrolls painted purple. This is followed by a wide band with multiple lattice backgrounds in orange, pearl purple and pearl purple on a pink background. This background is cut around two types of medallions, fan-shaped and oval, made of scrolls traced in black and garlands painted in violet. Each features small flowers in pink and violet, surrounded by leaves painted green and outlined in black. The center of the background is adorned with a small group of flowers painted in violet and pink, among stems traced in green and orange and leaves painted in green with black highlights. The top of the rim shows traces of gilding.
