Saucer
The saucer is complete. It is circular in shape. The wall is slightly flared at the top, and the rim is straight. The wall curves at the base towards the sock, which is flat. It rests on a ring-shaped foot. The underside of the base is recessed, with a raised ring near the foot ; The decoration is applied by transfer printing; it is dark blue with an oriental motif. The printed decoration is visible under the inner rim and on the inner base. The decoration under the inner rim consists of two different motifs, some of which are repeated alternately. Below the edge is a braid made of a row of small pearls in reserve, with a core. This is followed by a band composed of two alternating motifs, separated by a band trimmed with a half-flower in reserve. One of the motifs consists of a longer band adorned with a half-flower in reserve; the band is flanked by two scrolls. This band supports a motif with a wavy edge, composed of rows of pearls with a central dot and bordered by two scrolls. The beaded motif is bordered by two semicircles of alternating strokes and concentric bands, flanked by a leafy stem. The other motif is complex: it consists of a half-circle made of a latticework with central crosses and adorned with a half-flower in reserve; it is bordered by a row of small pearls, then by a blue band with a double curved line in reserve, and bordered by an arched chain made up of ovals. The latticework is bordered by two scrolls framing a spearhead pendant; the scrolls also border a few cells with a reserved core. The background features an oriental scene of islands, two of which are linked by a bridge spanning a river. On one of the islands, in the foreground, stand two tiered pagodas, one with a staircase and another with the silhouette of a figure in an opening; they are surrounded by numerous trees, and rocks lie on the shore. A V-shaped fence closes off the land on the bridge side. On the single-arch bridge, seen in profile, stands a figure holding an umbrella. In the background are three islands with pavilions, trees and rocks. The first island has a pavilion with a figure in the doorway. The other islands also feature rocks, trees, pavilions and a pagoda. The décor is clearly rendered. The junction of the frieze under the inner edge is visible. The background decoration has been cut out.
