Saucer
The saucer is complete. It is circular in shape. The wall is slightly flared at the top, with a slight constriction at mid-height, and the rim is straight; its top is corrugated. The wall curves at the base towards the sock, which is flat. It rests on a ring-shaped foot, with a bevelled outer rim. The underside of the base is recessed and flat. The bottom glaze, near its junction with the foot, has been wiped clean. There is a mark printed in blue under the base: C, a cross-hatched crescent; the decoration is applied by transfer printing; it is blue in color and features the Fence motif. The printed design is visible under the inner edge and on the inner background. The decoration under the inner rim is a horizontal ribbon of cells with radiating dashes and a pearl in the center; it is outlined with a fillet. The decoration on the bottom consists of a fence made up of a few sections: some are straight, while others are arranged in a zig-zag pattern. The fence sections are cross-hatched, with a small, three-lobed opening in the center. A rock borders the fence to the right. Leafy and flowering plant stems of varying scales adjoin the fence, including a long stem extending upwards; they are cross-hatched. To the left of the fence is a long shell rock. To the left is an island, elongated and cross-hatched. It is topped by a hut with a domed straw roof, and adjoined by three trees; a rock borders the island at water level. Waves made of horizontal lines strike the island and the rock. At the foot of the island, two stylized plant elements and small emerging rocks stand out. At the top of the island fly two birds, seen in profile to the left. Their wings point up and down. The decor is clean and precise.
