Saleron

The saleron is complete; a small chip is missing from the edge of the foot. It is rectangular with sides or octagonal. It consists of a receptacle mounted on a high foot. The receptacle is octagonal in shape, with a flat top and barely rounded rim; the base is flat. It rests on a high, flared foot with a corrugated rim. The base is thin and stained with glaze. The underside of the foot is sunken. The body is pinkish-beige in color and covered with a glossy white glaze ; The decoration is hand-painted in underglaze blue. It is vegetal and geometric. It is visible on the bottom of the receptacle, on its top, and on the foot. The top of the receptacle is adorned with a row of semi-circles, while the rim is decorated with a wide band. The background is decorated with a stylized plant motif. The decoration on the wall is delimited by a fillet at the top and base. It consists of two long, leafy, flowering stems on the long sides, and a stylized plant motif at the ends, similar to that on the receptacle base.
