Rocking chair

Rocking chair with a back composed of 3 straight, slightly curved volutes. The two lower scrolls are thinner and grouped together. The rear uprights are chamfered and curve backwards. An iron rod connects the rear upright and the cradle on either side, for strength. The base is composed of eleven rounded, hand-planed bars. Original elm bark seat. Assembled with tenons, mortises and pegs.
