Ravier
The serving dish is complete. It is elongated oval in shape, with a domed bulge in the center of the long sides. In cross-section, the object has a flat base with a flared wall and a rim with a very narrow sloping wing. The rim has a plain contour. There are two intaglio marks below the base, in two registers: WEDGWOOD 6 or 2; the decoration is painted over the glaze. It is visible on the marli, near the rim and on the wall; it is a brown-edged motif with a polychrome ribbon in green, blue and brown. It is a narrow braid underlined by a line. It is faded in places. Beneath the braid is a second, wider braid, outlined in brown and trimmed with a green-painted lattice of foliage; the intersections are trimmed with four pearls, painted in blue and brown.
