Punch bowl
The bowl is complete; a break has been repaired with glue. It is circular in shape. It has a slightly flared wall, a straight rim and a domed top. It rests on a truncated cone-shaped foot. The foot is free of glaze. There is a mark printed in blue under the base: C, i.e. a solid crescent. The glaze has been partially wiped from the inner wall of the foot. The inner base is covered with small, intersecting linear marks ; The decoration is applied by transfer printed and hand-painted; it is blue in color and floral in motif (Three flowers, Flowers). The painted decoration is located under the inner rim: it consists of two superimposed horizontal rings. The printed decoration is visible on both the outer wall and the inner base. On the outer wall, it comprises five motifs. The main motif consists of a group of flowers, including a rose on the right, and a long leafy stem on the left; a butterfly seen in profile sits on the rose. The other motifs are leafy stems in bloom, and two butterflies with outstretched wings. In the center of the background is a spray of leafy stems garnished with flowers.
