Lithograph reproduction: In the shadow of the very tall skyscrapers, where Dorchester Boulevard meets Phillips Square, stands the Engineers Club, with its ivy climbing to give it an air of serenity. This scene shows the “Ladies” entering Phillips Square. To the right, looking down Beaver Hall Hill, you can see the east tower of the Place Victoria complex. This reinforced concrete building, the tallest of its kind in the world, will soon house the Montreal and Canadian Stock Exchanges.
