Historical context

This image from a newspaper clipping shows a transatlantic liner belonging to the British shipping company White Star-Dominion Line. After 1926, the company broke up to become White Star Canadian Service, concentrating on passenger service between Canada and the UK. As shown in the image, this company operated regular routes between Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and Liverpool (England).
