Borden malted milk jug. The tinplate container is covered in white painting. It has a lid with a knob-shaped handle on top. Inscriptions are molded and painted in dark blue on the jar.

Historical context
L’entreprise Borden est fondée par l’Étasunien Gail Borden (1801-1874) en 1861 et porte alors le nom de New York Condensed Milk Company. En effet, Borden met au point un processus de lait condensé qu’il réussit à breveter en 1856, puis à commercialiser. L’entreprise change de nom en 1919 pour Borden Company.
