Historical context
This postcard, produced in 1908, depicts the steamer Montreal of the Richelieu & Ontario Steamship Lines. With her elegant white-painted decks, the Montreal prefigured the “white boats” line of luxury cruise ships introduced by Canada Steamships Lines in 1927.
