This photograph of downtown Montreal was taken between 1931 and 1958 from the Mount Royal lookout (“Kondiaronk”) on the south face of Mount Royal. From left to right, you can make out the Royal Bank building, built in 1927-1928, the Bell Building (1929), the Sun Life Building (completed in 1931) and, just behind the latter, the dome of Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral.
