Historical context
This 1926 postcard shows the entrance to the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal, located in Cartierville in today’s Ahunstic-Cartierville borough. Founded in 1898 by a group of women in a small downtown building, the small hospital was quickly taken over by the Sisters of Providence in 1902. They stepped in to take charge of the care. The hospital was renamed Hôpital des Incurables and moved to a new building on Décarie Bouleva...
