Portable money box from Canadian bank The Québec Bank. The metal case is rectangular in shape. It has a handle on the top. A slot and a hole are located on each side. On the front, there’s a lock and a plate with the bank’s logo.

Historical context
In the 1810s, Canada followed the British lead and created its first savings banks. These were separate branches of the major Canadian chartered banks, such as the Quebec Savings Bank, founded by the Banque de Québec. In 1841, a law was passed allowing the foundation of independent savings banks.
