Pie plate reproduction
The plate is complete. It is circular in shape, with a rim that is plain but pinched on the surface. It is solid. The rim is thick and beveled. The wing is narrow and raised, curving towards the flat, large-diameter base. On the reverse, the wing is inclined towards the flat, circular base. There is an intaglio mark under the wing: H.; the decoration is pinched and combed. The pinched decoration is visible on the rim of the plate. Visible on the face, it consists of narrow, equidistant pinches. Combed decoration covers the entire inner surface of the plate. It consists of a layer of brown slip inserted between a thin layer of paste, which has then been scraped away to reveal the brown slip.
