Ointment jar
The pot is complete; only a small enamel chip on the rim and a chip under the foot are missing. The pot is cylindrical. In cross-section, it has a swollen rim with a flat top, a straight wall and a narrow base resting on a full, flared foot. The underside is domed and partially unglazed. The body is pinkish-beige in color and covered with a white glaze. There is a stencil mark in very dark gray on the outer wall: V. F.; None, other than the shape of the object and the white color of the enamel.
