Mustard pot lid

The lid is complete; a chip is missing from the rim and a shard from the neck. It is circular in shape. It has a domed top with a flat center. It has a central gripping knob. It has a circular wing with an outward-sloping top and a flat underside. It has an annular collar that tapers slightly towards the bottom. The decoration is painted, molded, transfer printed and hand-painted; it is blue in color and features the Fence motif. The painted decoration is visible on the wing: it consists of two concentric rings. The molded decoration is visible on the knob. The knob has been applied to the lid; it consists of a stem with two leaves, applied directly in bas-relief to the lid; from the stem emerges a circular flower bud with a domed top, which is inclined. The printed decoration is visible on the top of the lid, and encloses the molded stem of the bud. The main element of the design is a rock surrounded by leafy, flowering plant stems of varying scales. The opposite side features three emerging rocks.
