Historical context
This small wooden model represents the Quebec Bridge, which has linked Quebec City to Lévis since 1917. Made of steel and of the cantilever type, this bridge is a remarkable work of civil engineering, notably for its suspended span, which measures 549 metres between the two main pillars, making it the longest of its kind in the world.
