Milk jug
The pot is complete. It is circular in shape. The shoulder is rounded and the neck is narrowed; the rim is flared and the top is domed. It has an elongated oval spout. The wall is tapered towards the base, which is swollen. It rests on a partially unglazed foot. The bottom is recessed and flat. The handle is vertical. Oval in shape and cross-section, its ends are turned down and rest on the neck and wall; they are oval in shape; the decoration is molded and coated. The pot is covered on the outside with a copper lustre coating and a band of engobe. Moulded decoration is visible on the outer wall. The outer wall features a horizontal groove with a string of pearls below the rim. Two horizontal grooves with a string of pearls are visible on the wall, one near the shoulder and the other above the bearings. The lower part of the wall is decorated with four steps, decreasing in size down to the base. The slip decoration forms a band on the wall, encircled by the two pearl grooves. The slip is brownish-yellow in color, covered with a colorless glaze and painted vegetal decoration in lustrous copper. The inner wall, with the exception of the neck, is covered with a white slip, itself covered with a colorless glaze; the neck bears traces of copper coating on its colorless glaze.
