Medal religious

Round medal in brass alloy on a copper base, issued by the Congrégatoin du Petit Séminaire de Montréal. On the obverse, the Virgin Mary surmounted by two angels holding an escutcheon inscribed with the monogram AM for Ave Maria and a Latin inscription around the edge of the medal. On the reverse, the inscription is surrounded by a wreath of half laurel leaves and half oak leaves. Engraver’s name and place inscribed on reverse. The medal is held by a small blue silk buckle edged in red, with its original brass pin.
