Historical context
This commemorative medal celebrates the reopening, in October 1968, of the Canadian National Bank (CNB) branch at 500 Place d’Armes. This new, larger, ultra-modern building replaces the old BCN building, demolished in 1966, and better meets the needs of the bank’s head office. In 1968, the opening was celebrated with a banquet and the production of this commemorative medal.
