Sieur de Courville – Payable in day beaver skins – Montreal. Old signed document. Obligation. [Montreal], pages, red wax stamp in margin of first page, octavo. Signed Adhémar. René Godefroy de Linctot acknowledges his obligation to Jacques Gadois Maugé. The debt is calculated in cash, i.e. 467 livres, and in specie, i.e. beaver pelts, i.e. 467 livres. However, it would appear that the obligation was settled in some other way, as evidenced by the inscriptions on one and a half pages.
