Lover’s cup
The bowl is complete. It is circular in shape and comprises three parts: the bowl, the stem and the foot. In profile, the bowl has a straight wall topped by a flared rim with a plain top. The wall curves slightly towards the base, which is flat. The bowl rests on a small vertical stem, narrowed into a spindle at the center. The bowl rests on a conical, circular foot with a plain rim. The base is wide and free of silver plaster; it is uneven and makes the object wobbly. The bottom is recessed and conical. The bowl has two vertical ear-shaped handles of flat oval cross-section. They have an oval fulcrum at the top, and the ends are folded down and resting on the wall. The upper ends are oval, while the lower ones are pointed. The inner wall is free of silver plaster, revealing the colorless glaze that covers the dark red-brown body; the decoration is plastered and molded. The outside of the bowl is covered with a silver lustre. The molded decoration is visible on the outer wall, at mid-height: it consists of a small, acute, horizontal bulge.
