Historical context
This lithograph by Frederick Bourchier Taylor was produced between 1948 and 1949. A graduate in architecture, Taylor went on to produce paintings, engravings and drawings. Born in Ottawa, he lived in Montreal from 1937, concentrating mainly on port and architectural views. During the Second World War, he painted several scenes of factories and construction sites, always featuring Canadian workers. He left for Mexico in 1960 and died in 19...
