Inkwell

The inkwell is complete, with only a few chips missing from the ends. It is oval with almost pointed ends and a flat top. In cross-section, the rim of its top and base are swollen. The sides are straight. The center of the top is pierced by a large circular aperture; near the edge, four smaller circular apertures are arranged crosswise. The underside is flat and rests on four small, flat, circular feet, the fulcrum of which is unglazed. The body is pinkish-beige with quartz inclusions. The glaze is white and shiny. The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome of blue and green underglaze, and yellow and violet underglaze. It is floral in style. The decoration is applied to the top of the inkwell and to its outer wall. The top is decorated with four leafy stems outlined in green, with a circular flower in the center painted in yellow and violet. The top of the tips is adorned with parallel lines painted in blue, and the circumference of the top is stamped with a blue fillet. The walls are adorned with a horizontal chain of leafy, flowering stems identical to those on the top, between two green fillets.
