Inkwell

The inkwell is complete, except for one of the corners of its base. It is cruciform, with a flat top and base. In cross-section, the rim of the top and base are bulging. The walls are straight, while the corners are concave. The center of the top is pierced by a large circular aperture; near the rim, four smaller circular apertures are arranged crosswise. The underside is flat and glaze-free. The body is pinkish-beige with quartz inclusions. The glaze is white and shiny ; The decoration is hand-painted and sponge-applied in polychrome of blue, green, yellow, orange and violet underglaze. The pattern is geometric. The decoration is applied to the top of the inkwell and to its outer wall. The top is decorated with a polychrome sponge in blue, violet and yellow. The top and base of the walls and corners feature a faded purple fillet. The walls are adorned with three vertical elements: a purple wavy fillet, a row of yellow vertical Vs and another row of blue Vs. The concave corners feature the same elements. The edges of the faces are embossed with a yellow fillet.
