They are wearing their field hockey jerseys with sticks and skates, against a green background. In the center, a portrait of the manager wearing a suit and tie. At the top, the title of the illustration “The valiant Canadien team that has just won the title of World Champion” is written in an openwork frame. At the bottom of the illustration, the players’ names are written for identification purposes. On the back, pages 14 and 11 of the newspaper feature images and text in five columns. The object also includes 5 other newspaper pages, including the front page.

Historical context
The Stanley Cup is a landmark event in the history of Montreal field hockey. At a time when the National Hockey League (NHL) was becoming increasingly competitive, following the integration of new teams in the years 1927-1928, the Canadiens team enjoyed one of the most brilliant seasons in its history.
