Gravy boat holder

The stand is complete; it has a crack. It is oval in shape, with a wavy rim with spikes. In cross-section, the rim is bulging, the marli sloping towards the bottom and then flat; the wall is high and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the dish has a large domed base; the wall is flared and the marli is flared and domed. The body is beige in color and covered with a matte white glaze. Three traces of linear, triangular beads are visible under the marli. There are slight flaws in the enamel. There is a blue painted mark under the marli: X. There is a mark engraved in the paste under the base: X. The background is uneven; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. It is of the stylized embroidery type. The molded decoration is visible on the rim, marli and wall. The decoration on the rim consists of a row of slight swellings perpendicular to the rim; on the marli, it appears as slight swellings perpendicular to the contour and aligned with the concave parts, while furrows are aligned with the points. The decoration is painted on the marli. The border is decorated with a braid of acanthus leaves and scrolls, similar to embroidery, repeated in alternation. Among these elements are regularly spaced double lozenges of two different designs, adorned with pearls.
