Gourd
The gourd is complete. The wall is oval, while the neck and pedestal are circular. In cross-section, the neck tapers towards the top and is topped by a neck made of a swollen lip with a flat top. The shoulder is sloping, the wall is rounded and the base is narrowed. It rests on a flared foot with a flat bottom and no glaze. The gourd has two small horizontal handles on the shoulder; they are made from a curved flange with a hollowed center, the ends of which rest on the shoulder. The bottom is engraved with a mark in three registers: Collection N(ouvelle-Fran)ce Cha(mbly Québ)ec ; The decoration is painted blue on one side. It features a plant motif and an inscription. The inscription is in the center of the wall and painted in blue: ”A moy”. It is set between two stylized plant motifs, one of which appears to be a laurel wreath.
