This is a pair of lace gloves sold at Henry Morgan and Co. Henry Morgan opened a store on rue Saint-Jacques in 1872. The store moved to Ste. Catherine Street in 1891, officially becoming Montreal’s first superstore. At the time, its success was not guaranteed, as the area was not yet commercial, but rather residential.
