Gin bottle

The bottle is complete, except for a few chips on the neck. It is square with rounded corners. In cross-section, it has a tapered wall towards the sock, a rounded shoulder and a short, straight neck, topped by a neck highlighted by a raised ring and made of a high, tapered lip towards the top, with a flat top. The base is slightly recessed from the wall and rounded, the fulcrum is flat and wide, and the bottom is recessed and flat. There’s a vertical mold line on the opposite walls; from the base, it crosses the shoulder and neck, goes under the neck, where it continues in a thinner line. The center of the base is slightly domed, and features a raised mold mark: S in a D; There’s a mold mark on the lower part of the wall: 2. There’s a gray paper label stuck to one of the walls, with inscriptions printed in green with a little red: MELCHERS / FINEST / CANADIAN / GENEVA / (solid cross containing a maple leaf with the letter M in its center, on two crossed wheat sheaves / (Berthierville distillery in an oval cartouche) / DISTILLED FROM THE FINEST GRAINS / AFTER HOLLAND’S BEST FORMULA / AND FULLY MATURED IN BOND UNDER GOVERNMENT SUPERVISION / MELCHERS DISTILLERIES LIMITED/ MONTREAL, CANADA / DISTILLERY NO. 2 PORT NO 10 D(L) / REGISTE[RED]; None, except the shape of the object.
