Fountain bowl

The bowl is complete, except for two chips on the inner rim that have been repaired with glue. It is rectangular in shape, with a flat back. In cross-section, it has a flat, wide rim, highlighted by a bulging ring. The upper half is domed, while the lower part curves inwards. The bowl rests on a high pedestal, whose upper portion is slightly constricted, while its lower portion is flared; the base is slightly swollen. The inner wall follows the outer contour, and the bottom is flat. The underside is recessed and flat. The two knobs are placed on the sides, on the upper portion of the wall ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in polychrome of blue, yellow, green, orange and black. The motif is vegetal. The molded decoration is perceptible near the rim and on the outer base, as well as on the grip knobs. The rim features a bulging horizontal ring, while the base is flared. The painted decoration on the rim ring consists of a solid band painted blue; a continuation band is painted on the base. The knobs on the sides have been molded separately and are in the shape of a mascaron, whose features have been outlined in green. The main decoration covers the upper half of the wall and the base. The upper decoration is surmounted by two superimposed horizontal lines painted in black. It consists of a row of motifs mirrored on either side of the central motif: the latter is composed of a hanging flower drawn in black and painted in orange, yellow and green, with green leaves, from which hangs a tassel painted in suite. The following motifs are a stylized acanthus leaf with scrolls and pearls, followed by a plant motif. These vegetal motifs are separated by a geometric pattern outlined in black and painted blue, with areas in reserve adorned with strokes painted orange and yellow. The lower motif consists of a row, sitting on a black fillet, of the same motif repeated from the center of the face, and featuring a flower traced in black and painted in orange and yellow, topped by a yellow pearl and bordered by stylized green acanthus leaves. These plant motifs are separated by a geometrical pattern traced in black and painted blue, with a trellis in reserve in the center, traced in blue and red, and topped by a yellow pearl.
