Flower picker reproduction

The flowerpot is complete. It is rectangular in shape. The top is flat and recessed, with two groups of five circular holes arranged in a star pattern on either side of a central rectangular opening. The sides and flanks are straight, resting on four feet made of two straight segments that meet at the corners. The underside is flat and recessed. There are inscriptions printed in blue under the base, on a few registers: O U D (below an oblong symbol) Delft oval cartouche surrounding the inscription WILLIAMSBURG RESTORATION MADE IN HOLLAND ; The decoration is hand-painted in polychrome of blue, red, yellow, green and mauve. It features Chinese and geometric motifs. The decoration is painted on both sides and both ends, as well as on the top of the container. The decoration on the sides is the same: it consists of an Oriental man, probably Chinese, seen from three-quarters view, standing with a fishing rod on what appears to be a bridge. The decoration on the ends is landscape-like. The decoration on the top consists of pearl rings surrounding each of the ten holes and a green net around the central opening.
