Dish
The dish is complete; it has two breaks that have been repaired with glue and repainted. The dish is circular with a slightly undulating rim. In cross-section, the rim is slightly inclined, the wall is low, the foot is milled and the bottom is recessed and flat. The foot is covered with a pale brown coating. The bottom has a very slight relief radiating towards the foot, into which the brown coating has slightly infiltrated ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue on the front and reverse of the object. The molded decoration is visible on the marli face; it consists of pairs of light grooves between a bulge, perpendicular to the rim and symmetrically distributed from the rim to the wall; the rim has a slightly undulating contour. The painted decoration is animal-like, in the Kraak style from China. The inner surface of the object is entirely decorated. The area near the rim is painted blue. The rim and wall are decorated with compartments, divided into two alternating types. The larger compartments are trapezoidal in shape with rounded corners; their outer perimeter is made of a single net, which surrounds a double net whose center is painted blue. Each houses a different ribboned object, similar to the emblems of the Eight Immortals, or a long-stemmed flower, some of which resemble a sunflower. Between these compartments are strips of the same length, but narrower than the compartments themselves. They are separated into two zones by double horizontal, painted arched lines: their central part is decorated with three full, superimposed pearls, while the upper part of the tabs is adorned with alternating rows of painted scales or a latticework of pearls. These tongues are painted between pairs of molded grooves. The central decoration is encircled by a double ring, containing two concentric octagons with concave sides, the one on the outside being in reserve and the other solid. The space outside the octagons is painted blue and trimmed with alternating scales and beaded latticework. The main decoration consists of a lake scene, featuring a bird seen in profile, standing on rocks, and another circling above the water; they are surrounded by leafy and flowering plants, including a bamboo. On the reverse, the dish is decorated with a fillet painted close to the edge, and its wall is lined with alternating wide and narrow compartments, delimited by pairs of straight fillets. The larger compartments are decorated with a ring surrounding a pearl.
