Deep dish
The dish is complete; some breaks have been repaired with iron studs and some of the enamel around the rim has disappeared. It is circular in shape. It has a narrow, slightly inward-sloping wing and a plain rim. The wall is high and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. The dish rests on a ring-shaped foot. The foot is pierced by a suspension hole, the inside of which is glaze-coated. The body is beige. The object is covered with a white enamel on the front, which has flowed to the reverse; the reverse enamel is low in tin, and of the same beige color as the body. The reverse has 17 pairs of holes, into which are inserted the ends of 17 rusty iron studs. The studs are made of a double rod held in place by a white paste; they are of different lengths ; The decoration is hand-painted in mauve and violet underglaze. It is stylized vegetal. The top of the wall is adorned with a wide band painted in mauve. The wall is decorated with four similar leafy stems in a row, separated by six-pointed stars. The background is framed by a wide mauve-painted ring. The center features a leafy stem with flower. The decoration was painted with a square-tipped brush.
