Deep dish

The dish is complete; some breaks have been repaired with wire. The dish is circular in shape, with an undulating rim. In cross-section, the rim is swollen, the marli is inclined towards the bottom and slightly concave; the wall is high and curved towards the bottom, which is flat. On the reverse, the dish has a large, flat base; the wall is flared and the marli is flared and domed. The body is beige in color and covered with a shiny white glaze. Three traces of linear, triangular beads are visible under the marli. There are slight flaws in the enamel. There is a mark painted in blue on the reverse of the marli: O (open) B O (crossed by a bar). The support point and bottom of the dish show signs of wear. There are linear wear marks on the inner base. The dish features four pairs of drilled holes into which iron wires are inserted, the ends of which are twisted on the reverse side ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue underglaze. It features embroidery and floral motifs. The molded decoration is visible on the contour and on the border. The outline is wavy; the decoration on the marli appears as slight swellings perpendicular to the outline and aligned with the concave parts. The decoration is painted on the marli and on the background. The marli is decorated with a band between two fillets near the edge; another fillet borders two alternately repeated embroidery elements. Each is made up of mirror-repeated elements, starting from a central element. The background decoration is floral. It consists of leafy stems topped by three similar flowers.
