Deep dish
The dish is complete; there is some missing enamel around the rim, particularly at the corners, and a crack and a break have been repaired with iron studs. The dish is oval in shape, with a wavy rim. In cross-section, the wing is sloping, less so than the wall, which has a rounded base, and the bottom is flat. The base is recessed and rests on a wide oval foot with concave sides, whose base is unglazed. The body is beige and covered with a bluish-white glaze. There are burrs of enamel under the dish, near the rim, and chips under the base and on the inner wall. Three traces of linear and triangular pernettes are visible under the dish and on the inner wing. The dish is slightly deformed. The inner base of the dish shows areas of amati glaze. The foot has a pair of circular holes, the inner wall of which is covered with enamel; one of the holes is broken. The dish has a crack and a break at one end. The break is surrounded by three pairs of circular holes that cross the dish. The dish is repaired with four rusty iron spikes; made from an iron rod, these spikes are each inserted into a pair of small holes and held in place by a hard white paste. The studs are visible on the face of the dish; the decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue. The molded decoration can be seen on the wall, with rounded ribs at the corners. The painted decoration has been traced and painted in blue underglaze. It features compartmentalized braid and a floral basket. The decoration is painted on the wing and in the center of the base. The wing is decorated with a braid. The braid is outlined in blue. It is decorated with two motifs repeated in alternation. One is in reserve on a blue-painted background: it consists of mirrored elements, i.e. a central half-flower surrounded by two scrolls followed by two quarter-flowers. These quarter-flowers are adorned with blue radiating lines. The other motif is a latticework drawn in blue and trimmed with blue-painted pearls. These two motifs are separated by a half-flower of blue radiating lines, set in two blue bands, while the sides are in reserve. The background features a flowery basket. The basket has a truncated cone shape on a flat swollen base and a flat swollen rim; it is traced in blue and decorated with a latticework traced and painted in blue; the rendering of the basket imitates rattan. From the top of the basket emerge a central half-flower flanked by two leaves, two flowers and leafy plant stems. The flowers are traced in blue, partially filled with blue-painted strokes and painted in faded blue, with the exception of one leaf, which is trimmed with a traced fish-scale motif and painted in blue, while the other leaves and curved plant stems are painted in blue. Two blue tendrils hang from each side of the basket. The basket rests on a flared base, traced in blue and painted in faded blue, itself set on a blue-painted leafy terrace.
