Deep dish
The dish is complete; there is some missing enamel around the rim, particularly at the corners, and a break has been repaired with iron studs. The dish has a rectangular octagonal shape with plain sides. In cross-section, the wing is sloping, less so than the wall, which has a rounded base, and the bottom is flat. The bottom is recessed and rests on a wide, rectangular, paneled foot, the base of which is unglazed. The body is beige and covered with a bluish-white glaze. There are burrs of enamel under the dish, near the rim, and chips under the base. Three traces of linear and triangular pernettes are visible under the wall. The inner base of the dish shows a few linear marks. The foot has two pairs of circular holes, of which only one pair has a glaze-covered inner wall. The entire width of the dish is broken. This break is surrounded by four pairs of circular holes that cross the dish. The dish is repaired with four iron studs; made from an iron rod, each stud is inserted into a pair of small holes and held in place by a hard white paste. The studs are visible on the face of the dish; the decoration is hand-painted in two-tone. It was traced and painted in blue underglaze and red overglaze. It is of the compartmented braid and floral basket type. The decoration is painted on the wing and in the center of the background. The wing is decorated with a braid. The braid is outlined in blue. It is decorated with two motifs repeated in alternation. One is in reserve on a blue-painted background: it consists of mirrored elements, i.e. a central half-flower surrounded by two scrolls followed by two quarter-flowers. These flowers are adorned with red radiating lines. The other motif is a latticework drawn in red and trimmed with blue-painted pearls. These two motifs are separated by a half-flower made of red radiating lines with a red-painted core; it is set in two blue-painted bands, while the sides are in reserve. The background is decorated with a flowering basket within a chain. The basket has a truncated cone shape on a flat swollen base and a flat swollen rim; it is outlined in blue and divided into vertical sections adorned with horizontal lines painted in red; the rendering of the basket imitates rattan. Various flowers, leafy stems and grapes emerge from the top of the basket. The flowers are painted blue and partially filled with red radiating lines, as are some of the leaves, while the other leaves, the curved plant stems and the grapes are painted blue. Two blue tendrils hang from either side of the basket. The basket rests on a splayed base, traced in blue and painted red, itself set on a blue-painted terrace. The basket is surrounded by a chain of alternating ovals and small lozenges. The lozenges are traced and painted blue, while the ovals are traced in blue and trimmed with a latticework painted red. The decoration on the wing has run off the glaze in a few places.
