Cut
The bowl is complete; there are small chips on the rim. It is circular in shape, with a flared rim and corrugated edge. The wall flares towards the rim and curves towards the flat bottom. On the reverse, it rests on a ring-shaped foot, the base of which is free of glaze. The center is recessed and flat. The foot is imprinted with fine gravel. There is a slight defect in the glaze on the inner base. The rim has lost much of its glaze ; The decoration is molded and hand-painted in blue on the face and reverse. The molded decoration takes the form of a medallion in relief on the inside, and recessed on the outside. The painted decoration is animal-like, in the Kraak style from China. The inner surface of the object is entirely decorated. There is a wavy fillet near the edge. The wall is decorated with a row of oval medallions with domed tops; their outer perimeter is made of a double fillet with a reserved center. Each medallion houses an object or a flower, in alternation; each object is different and ribboned, and approaches the emblems of the Eight Immortals if not the Eight Precious Objects, while the leafy and flowery stems are identical. Between these medallions are scrolls. The central decoration is surrounded by concentric octagons with concave sides and pointed corners, one solid and the other in reserve. The main decoration consists of a bird, a duck, seen in profile and perched on a terrace, surrounded by leafy stems and flowers. On the reverse, the bowl is lined with compartments; they are delimited by a fillet that divides towards the edge, and closed at the ends by a line, the one near the edge being wavy and the other, double, at the junction of the wall with the foot. They are trimmed with four pearls arranged around a central fifth.
