Cup
Duplessis tableware collection from the National Assembly. Small mug, used for coffee. At the end of the 1940s, the Café du Parlement on Grande Allée in Quebec City was equipped with its own assortment of tableware. On the initiative of Maurice Duplessis’s government, students in the artistic advertising course at the École des beaux-arts de Québec were invited to submit proposals in which the fleur-de-lis was to take pride of place. Jean-Paul Charland’s project was chosen from all the proposals received.
