Coins commemorating the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games were issued between 1973 and 1976. The coins presented here date from 1973 and feature illustrations designed by artist Georges Huel.

Georges Huel (1930-2002) was a leading Canadian graphic designer. He is best known for his artistic creations for the 1967 World’s Fair, the 1976 Summer Olympics and the visual identity of the City of Montreal.
